Olufemi Soneye

Olufemi Soneye is an award-winning Nigerian media strategist, journalist, humanitarian leader, and corporate communications executive with over two decades of distinguished experience in strategic communications, public affairs, reputation management, and global media engagement. A highly respected voice in both African and international communications circles, he is the former Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd, where he led global media strategy, crisis communications, and stakeholder engagement for Africa’s largest energy company during a transformative period in Nigeria’s energy sector.

Soneye is also a proud United States military veteran who served in the United States Air Force during one of America’s most critical wartime eras, joining during the Afghanistan and Iraq war period. His military service reflects a lifelong commitment to discipline, service, leadership, and global responsibility, values that have continued to shape his professional and humanitarian endeavors.

A recipient of the prestigious Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Spokesperson of the Year Award, Soneye has earned widespread recognition for excellence in corporate communications, media leadership, and strategic influence.
